Student Testimonials

Discover how this course has helped others improve their compliance efforts and create more accessible places and spaces.

This course was exactly what I needed before renovating our restaurant's restrooms. The section on entry and signage helped me understand that accessibility starts before customers even walk through the door. The detailed breakdown of fixture requirements and counter specifications saved me from making costly mistakes during our renovation. I particularly appreciated the practical guidance on grab bar positioning and toilet specifications, which seemed overwhelming in the ADA guidelines but made perfect sense after this course.

Restaurant Owner

As a physician, I see firsthand how important accessible facilities are for my patients' dignity and independence. This course's comparison between stalls versus single-user restrooms was incredibly helpful in deciding how to redesign our office restrooms. The maneuvering space requirements were explained clearly with real-world examples that helped me visualize what patients actually need. The grab bar and toilet section was thorough without being overly technical - I now understand not just the 'what' but the 'why' behind each specification.

I thought I knew the basics about accessible restrooms, but this course opened my eyes to details I'd never considered. The fixtures and counters module taught me about sink heights, mirror placement, and faucet types that I never realized could be barriers for customers. The information about pipes and clearances underneath fixtures was particularly valuable - something that seems minor but makes a huge difference for wheelchair users. The instructor did a great job explaining how all these elements work together to create truly functional spaces rather than just checking compliance boxes.

Managing our law office means ensuring all clients can access our services with dignity, and this course gave me the confidence to oversee our restroom accessibility project properly. The maneuvering space section was enlightening - I never realized how much room someone actually needs to transfer safely or turn a wheelchair around. The detailed coverage of grab bars and toilet positioning helped me ask the right questions during our renovation and catch potential issues before installation. This course paid for itself many times over by helping me avoid retrofit costs and ensuring we got it right the first time. Highly recommend.

FAQS

Question: Does taking one of your online courses (and implementing the suggestions) guarantee my website or business will be 100% accessible? Answer: No. When it comes to accessibility compliance, there is no such thing as "100% accessible" or a "perfect" score. Be wary of any company making such promises. However, if you commit to: 1) learning our content, 2) assessing your physical places and digital spaces by following the downloadable Quick Guides and Checklists, and 3) implementing the suggestions, you will improve your website's accessibility and improve its usability for people with disabilities and likely everyone else who visits. Question: Do you provide refunds for online courses? Answer: No. Due to the instant nature of digital downloads, once a purchase has been completed, it is final. Question: When will your other courses be available to purchase? Answer: We hope to have all courses currently in "Preorder" status ready for "Order Now" status sometime in September 2025.
